I was struggling to keep my eyes open when a phone call awakened me. It was from my African friend who wanted to know about "kumari" the living goddess. Surprised by her curiosity I asked the reason and she directed me to yahoo. Yahoo had featured the story of kumari that day and of course everyone here in US was surprised to know that there is a living goddess. However after knowing the details starting from selection process till the day she is finally returned there were just more questions coming up. What is considered culture in Nepal is considered violation of child rights in US. My friend asked me if I supported the culture and to be honest I didn't know if I did or not. I moved away saying since "I don't know what exactly happens in kumari ghar hence I am not the right person to comment". However the question still bothered me. Is it really violation of child rights? How can a girl who was raised as a goddess suddenly live a mortal life? Are these girls facing psychological problems? Do they have same development as other kids who go to school and socialize? Or are they real goddesses who achieve everything just by performing the rituals??
My questions remain with me
HOW IT CHANGES
There was a blind girl who hated herself just because she was blind. She hated everyone except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her.She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry her boyfriend.
One day someone donated a pair of eyes to her and then she could see everything including her boyfriend. Her boyfriend asked her"now that you can see the world, will you marry me?"The girl was shocked when she saw that her boyfriend was blind too, and refuse to marry him.
Her boyfriend walked away in tears and later wrote a letter to her saying " JUST TAKE CARE OF MY EYES PLEASE"
This is how human change when their status changes.Only few remember what life was before, and who has always been there in the most painful situations.
I created this blog for those who does not belive in love and kind of stuffs like that. Sabai vanda ramroo Dad , mom lay khojay ko K T sanga marriage garnay pachi afai usai sanga life long love huncha.....so guys yo KT haru ko chakkar ma Naparnu.. They will spend u up like a money and after they will hung u out to dry .As long as u spend money on them, ur relatonship works. the day u stop spending on her. she will dump u like a garbage......
Hi! friends! hope u all r doin fine. Here, in this blog of mine i completely want to be myself and share watever i come across. here is somethin new! hope u'll enjoy it!------------
A mother passing by her daughter's bedroom was astonished to see the bed was nicely made and everything was picked up. Then she saw an envelope propped up prominently on the center of the bed. It was addressed, "Mom." With the worst premonition, she opened the envelope and read the letter with trembling hands: Dear Mom: It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you. I had to elope with my new boyfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with Dad and you. I've been finding real passion with Ahmed and he is so nice-even with all his piercings, tattoos, beard, and his motorcycle clothes. But it's not only the passion Mom, I'm pregnant and Ahmed said that we will be very happy. He already owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. He wants to have many more children with me and that's now one of my dreams too. Ahmed taught me that marijuana doesn't really hurt anyone and we'll be growing it for us and trading it with his friends for all the cocaine and ecstasy we want. In the meantime, we'll pray that science will find a cure for AIDS so Ahmed can get better; he sure deserves it!! Don't worry Mom, I'm 15 years old now and I know how to take care of myself. Someday I'm sure we'll be back to visit so you can get to know your grand children. Your daughter, Judith PS: Mom, none of the above is true. I'm over at the neighbor's house. I just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than my report card that's in my desk center drawer. I love you! Call when it is safe for me to come home.

This is a true story of mine. The tears that flow from the pages of this site are real and come out of extreme disappointment. The tragedies you will read about were heart wrenching and life changing for me, and continue to impact my individual live. Perhaps these emotional and spiritual scars will be transformed into bright and shining stars that will shed light for the person who is walking in the dark drug-infested world.
It is my opinion, based upon experience, that the drug addict who is reared in a good, solid home where strong morals and self-respect are instilled, will not only betray the people that love and care for him, but will also violate his own conscience. He will be disloyal to all that he knows to be true, just, pure, good, and lovely.
There's no other way to say this: My life sucked. I felt as if our family problems were all my fault. Then, when I was about 19, one of my friends thought it would be fun to watch me try pot. That's When I found out about drugs. By the time I was 21, I was starting on Quaaludes. I would take anything that would make me feel better. I was running away from it all, and as long as I was drunk or high, I thought I was OK; I was still getting high and drunk. I started using crack in my 20s. That is he most hideous drug I've ever encountered. It just consumed me; I couldn't stop. I was a mess from decades of abuse. But after someone came in to my life I made the change from being a victim to being a survivor. You know, when you're a victim, you're not in charge. You can blame everything on someone else, but ultimately you're responsible for your choices.
Her love gave me enough courage to give up drugs and after that she left me in the middle of nowhere. I did not use it for a long time. But the hardest thing in my life even harder than getting sober - was rebuilding my relationship with my Parents, gaining their trust.
I'm the type of person who would try anything. I started drinking when I was 17, and by18, I was doing pot, cocaine and Ecstasy. I always kept my feelings inside until I was ready to burst, and then I'd turn to drugs. If I was mad, I'd go get high. If I was depressed, I'd go get high. Somehow, I began to see drugs as a way to keep myself going. Eventually I got hooked on heroin. I seemed to have a normal life, though. I had a job doing office work [with] computers. What no one knew was that I'd have to do bags of dope just to force myself to get out of bed. And I thought, "My God, I've got to get off this." I really tried. But I was too afraid of withdrawal. It's like having the flu times 100. You've got pain in your back, in your legs, all over. I just wanted to stop feeling so bad. I ended up doing both crack and heroin. I was spending Rs 800 a week on drugs. My drug dealer would say, "Buy me a VCR and I'll give you something." So I'd take my dealer shopping.
I was caught with Nitro sun and was arrested. My family had no idea I had been using drugs until they saw me in handcuffs. I mean, they had noticed I was losing weight, but I always told them I had the flu. Who wants to think their little baby is doing this? My father used to be a Government official, and to him, drugs are a really horrible thing. But they always turned their backs on me. It was very confusing. I was frustrated and angry with myself.
Now I am in middle east working in a private company for the past 22 months.I don't know why my parents choose this country where a person can't even get alchoal.Anyway It was all my decision to come and work here and I am feeling much better now. After I arrived in this country I could not sleep for 2 months. My body could not bear the chilled from the air condition in the room and my mind was dreaming about drugs but unfortunately you can't get anything because it is the world's toughest country in terms of drugs. I spend almost 2 months outside my room. I used to sleep in a bus which was parked outside our room. The only compeny I get inside that bus was lot of cats. They are d only companion for those hard nights. Now It feels like new birth .I still think about drugs, but I have to be stronger. I learned that you can do things sober and still have fun, such as going dancing or eating out. I spent 80% of my time in computer. I never thought I'd be able to get this far. I figured I'd be on drugs the rest of my life. I feel good now; I'm proud of myself. One of my friends told me that my story was inspiring. I felt so good that day. I felt as if I had finally accomplished something.
It was my first long-term relationship. I had always been a fun loving guy when I met Anjali for the first time through the internet. I was a10th grader when I first talked to her. I still remember it was our vacation after the ‘sent-up exam'. We used to have long talks on the phone and on MSN even though it was our time to prepare for the ‘Iron Gate' (S.L.C). I was hoping to see her as soon as possible after our exams as I started to fall for her because of her lovely voice. Unfortunately, we had a long strike and those 21 days of curfew. Those were the hardest days for me to spend. As days passed by, we decided to meet for the first time on the start of the year. 2063 Baisakh 1st. As we all start a new year with new things, I started my new year with lies. Along with my friends I celebrated hard on the eve and because of the hang over I lied to her that I wouldn't be able to see her on that day. She was most depressed...even more than I was. As she was more eager than me to meet up of course. But then luckily my tongue slipped and confessed that I was roaming around New Road. She rushed from her home and said that she was on the road to see me. I was totally nervous. I didn't have a single thing running through my head. I didn't know where to take her... what to do... what to say. But then she asked me to walk with her instead. She also said that she had to go to her uncle's place to stay over. I had to agree to her. The same year I also started with a new life...that turn which I did not know where it would lead me.
We had a long talk on the phone on the night of the same day...enquiring about each other about ourselves. The usual "how was I? What do you think of me?" I was in cloud nine when she said that I was the cutest guy on earth for her. It was the same for me...or rather the feeling was mutual! She was just the girl I had been waiting to enter my life. She was the one I wanted to be with and I would do anything in the world. As the days went on we started to see each other alternately and those were the days that still reminds me which brings back the smile on my face. I had one last day to see her for the next three months. She had to leave the country for her aunts wedding. Just like in the movies, we walked in the rain holding each other warm and tight. The gloomiest day of the year. I gave her a ring and asked her to come back soon, though I knew it was just a matter of three months. Within that time, our SLC results were out and in the absence of her, I had already joined college. She came back. I was the happiest person on earth. She said she was tired because of the long journey and promised to meet me the very next day for lunch. Crazy me for her. Early in the morning, I went to her neighborhood and asked for her mother with another name. I thought of giving her a surprise but it failed. But we met for lunch and when I saw her face...that chubbiness Wooh !. I really love it to an extent that is inexpressible.
Days... Weeks... Months... and now years...
It's been exactly three years that we have been seeing each other. Being with her means leaving everything behind and the thing that's in my head is none other than her. Thy kisses ' Touch of her lips tastes like being killed eventually. We did everything like other couples do... walk in the rain, hold each other, roam around, shopping, movies and stuff that young people in love normally do. I always think that she is someone worth spending my life with, someone whom I can count on to live happily ever after though I had heard people saying that love normally doesn't last more than three years.
May be this is the time to test our love? She says she has a classmate who can even die for her. She usually talks about him on the line. How can I, the boyfriend bear that? My only love talks about another guy? Today, another day of college... I wanted to give her a surprise and walk her home. It was raining. I was waiting for her college to get over. And when the time finally came I saw her driving by with the same friend of hers that she constantly talked about. It was a surprise to say the least. I failed.
We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly.
And the thoughts go crazy
the feelings blue
never again will there be
A glimpse of you.
Had I tried harder
were you there any longer
if only i’d understood better
would you still have been there?
the sun hides behind the cloud
and the wind heaves
flowers bloom no more
and the trees have shed their leaves
nature teases me
camouflaging the bare soul
asking, trying to be set free
i wish upon a shooting star
asking you back
to rid me of the scar
the hole in my heart’s grown big and black
and i’m dying
heal me
only you can save me
the door is ajar
if u must know
and i’m waiting– not so far
with a deserted hope
of some sign you’ll show.

Number Game! |

The teacher asked little Johnny if he knew his numbers. |
Where is Jesus Christ
A Sunday school teacher of preschoolers was concerned that her students might be a little confused about Jesus Christ because of the Christmas season emphasis on His birth. She wanted to make sure they understood that the birth of Jesus occurred a long time ago, that he grew up, etc.
So she asked her class, "Where is Jesus today?"
Steven raised his hand and said, "He`s in heaven."
Mary was called on and answered, "He`s in my heart."
Little Johnny, waving his hand furiously, blurted out, "I know! I know! He`s in our bathroom!!!"
The whole class got very quiet, looked at the teacher, and waited for a response. The teacher was completely at a loss for a few very long seconds. Finally, she gathered her wits and asked Little Johnny how he knew this.
Little Johnny said, "Well...every morning, my father gets up, bangs on the bathroom door, and yells, "Jesus Christ, are you still in there?!?"

Around September of 2007, a new and energetic Minster of Information and Communication - Com. Krishna Bahadur Mahara declared, Nepal will celebrate the 57th anniversary of the DPRK to celebrate the glorious history of Korean revolution and to pay our tribute to the great and dears: His Excellencies -the Kim's.
Then I had just finished reading a book on North Korea and also was fresh from the memory of going to University with 2 very nationalist North Koreans. I was trying to understand what Nepal can possibly get be-friending one of the most notorious leader of modern world..(-umm no no no don't get me wrong yet- Mr. Bush stands a step further for sure ).
Though my plain experiences show that the coolest people in the world actually live in the most difficult countries in the world. The North Koreans that I met were very nice people. I know Nepalese can befriend with them very easily. After all we both are F****ed by politics for long and for sure.
After my careful thoughts here are my recommendations for PDRN to learn from DPRK:
- The adoption of " Junche" the ideology- Since Nepal is going out of control with over-empowered and awfully over expecting "masses", may be Junche (which basically talks about self criticism and what we can do for the country- rather than what we can get) may help reducing this profound madness in Semi-urban Nepalese society (if you don't believe me trying to take a taxi in Kathmandu these days).
- Bargain money out of UN- As we all know how north Korean (in full cooperation by UN systems) drained out AID money to make the most out of it. Since UN works hard in communities where there is no problem and does nothing much at other places citing security reasons, this idea can work in both party's interest in Nepal. Remember AID is for Nepal and Government is Nepali.
- Not be a defacto base for US to work on TIBET: Noting that the U.S. forces' occupation of south Korea was a direct product of the policy of aggression of the successive U.S. administrations to use south Korea as a strategic base from which to dominate Northeast Asia- Please don't make that mistake- with China and India, Nepal can be the "hotbed" for sure.
- This relates to my next recommendation
- Blackmailing West: Nepal can use the distance between India and China and China and the rest of the world to maintain the status quo and bargain some development AID to Nepal. Remember we don't have to stand very close to Indians, we can use them and the west: best by playing china card. No no no I don't mean by doing the exact way that our beloved past king did.
- Going against Indian Imperialism: I don't know what it really implies but "imperialism" is a big buzz work in MLMP (Maoism, Leninism, Marxism, Prachanndapath - to be lengthy enough). If Nepal can gather some guts and use this "whatever" in our own gain- may be we can at-least voice against building dams and flooding our villages by Indians. Hey by the way it's not like you guys that Nepalese always travel across the countries. Sometimes they sleep in bed in Nepal and wake up the next morning in India (because the border pillars had just moved in last night).
And the final one- this is my favorite:
- Most of the revolutionaries (Mao, Castro, Kim, Robert, Hoxa, Stalin, Tito, Pot- that sounds confusing- okay POL POT - not the G -POT) who started "peoples struggle" and been victorious revolutionary have been the most brutal dictators in the history of the world. They failed to manage the politics, gear the development and basically destroyed the countries. Com. Prachanda can surely learn this lesson from DPRK and anywhere else and may be give institutionalizing democracy a serious thought.
Commenting on the news "DPRK to increase cooperation with Nepal"
Thoughts and counter-thoughts are welcome-

The Four Noble truths
1. The Noble Truth of Suffering: Rebirth, old age, disease, death, sorrow, lamention, pain, grief and despair, association with objects we dislike, separation from objects we love, not to obtain what one desires cause suffering.
2. The Noble Truth of The Arising of Suffering: The Threefold Craving leads every being from birth to birth and is accompanied by joy and lust, seeking its gratification here and there, namely: Sensual Craving, Craving for Existence and Craving for Wealth and Power.
3. The Noble Truth of the Cessation of Suffering: The condition of cessation of suffering is the complete fading away and extinction of this three fold craving, forsaking it and giving it up, the liberation and detachment from it.
4. The Noble Truth of The Path leading to the Cessation of Suffering: It is the Noble Eightfold Path (or the Middle Path because it avoids the two extremes of sensual pleasure and self-indulgent), that leads to the Cessation of Suffering.
To weed out cravings and ignorance, these two chief evil-doers of individual existence and to overcome rebirth, old age, disease, death, sorrows, lamentation, pain, grief and despair, to make an end of this whole mass of misery and thus to attain Nirvana, Liberation and Salvation.
The five Rules of Morality:
No Killing any living being, Stealing, Adultery, Lying and Drinking Intoxicating Drinks.
Buddhism admits no social class, no sex or race superiority. Most shrines are open to all. Buddhism is utterly tolerant, and seeks no converts. The Buddhist proclaims the Dharma to mankind. Anyone who wishes may accept and apply it - those who do not wish to do so pass with a blessing upon their way.
Under the Communist republics in Asia, Buddhism has faced a more difficult time. In China, for example, it continues to exist, although under strict government regulation and supervision. Many monasteries and temples have been converted to schools, and other public use. Monks and nuns have been required to undertake employment in addition to their religious functions. In Tibet, the Chinese, after their takeover and the escape of the Dalai Lama and other Buddhist officials into India in 1959, attempted to undercut Buddhist influence. Only in Japan since World War II have truly new Buddhist movements grown.
Growing interest in Asian culture and spiritual values in the West has led to the development of a number of societies devoted to the study and practice of Buddhism. As its influence in the West slowly grows, Buddhism is once again beginning to undergo a process of adaptation to its new environment. Although its influence in the U.S. is still small, apart from immigrant Japanese and Chinese communities, it seems that new, distinctively American forms of Buddhism may eventually develop.
I was browsing through the blogs of meromate .com and couldn't stop myself from scrapping a few words. I am not a regular blogger so I may not be correct on everything I write. As for my knowledge stretches blogs can either be a personal web diary or a corporate blog used for business or the more common genre blog which gives information on some particular subject. Meromate.com blogs I think falls into the last category. With due respect to all the bloggers I feel most of the blogs here are copies of articles from other sites which people cut and paste. I would personally like to read blogs that has a real origin in the minds of the bloggers. Once again with no offense to anybody, I think copying and pasting doesn't constitute blogging and I would request everyone to reflect themselves through the blogs. After all I think that's how blogging should be.
Everyone enjoys hearing about a good conspiracy theory and many people enjoy coming up with new ones. You can spend an incredible amount of time reading about theories and wondering if there is any truth to them. This list is the top 10 conspiracy theories. If you feel that I have left off your favourite, or have proof that any of these are not just theory but fact, post a comment, just remember: don't be cruel!
1. 9/11 was Planned by the US Government
Many conspiracy theories have been presented concerning the September 11, 2001 attacks, many of them claiming that President George W. Bush and/or individuals in his administration knew about the attacks beforehand and purposefully allowed them to occur because the attacks would generate public support for militarization, expansion of the police state, and other intrusive foreign and domestic policies by which they would benefit. Proponents point to the Project for the New American Century, a conservative think tank that argues for increased American global leadership, whose former members include ex-Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, Vice President Dick Cheney and several other key Bush administration figures. An 1990 report from the group stated that "some catastrophic and catalyzing event - like a new Pearl Harbor" would be needed to budge public opinion in their favor.
2. UFO Recovered at Roswell
The Roswell UFO Incident involved the recovery of materials near Roswell, New Mexico, USA, in July 1947, which have since become the subject of intense speculation, rumor, questioning and research. There are widely divergent views on what actually happened, and passionate debate about what evidence can be believed. The United States military maintains that what was recovered was a top-secret research balloon that had crashed. By the early 1990s, UFO researchers such as Friedman, William Moore, Karl Pflock, and the team of Kevin Randle and Don Schmitt had interviewed several hundred people [11] who had, or claimed to have had, a connection with the events at Roswell in 1947. Additionally, hundreds of documents were obtained via Freedom of Information Act requests, as were some apparently leaked by insiders, such as the disputed "Majestic 12″ documents. Their conclusions were that at least one alien craft had crashed in the Roswell vicinity, that aliens, some possibly still alive, were recovered, and that a massive cover-up of any knowledge of the incident was put in place.
3. John F. Kennedy's Assasination
The assassination of John F. Kennedy, the thirty-fifth President of the United States, took place on Friday, November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas, USA at 12:30 p.m. CST (18:30 UTC). Kennedy was fatally wounded by gunshots while riding with his wife Jacqueline in a presidential motorcade through Dealey Plaza. The official investigation by the Warren Commission was conducted over a ten-month period, and its report was published in September 1964. The Commission concluded that the assassination was carried out solely by Lee Harvey Oswald, an employee of the Texas School Book Depository in Dealey Plaza. A number of conspiracy theories exist with regard to the assassination of U.S. President John F. Kennedy. Such theories began to be generated soon after his death, and continue to be proposed today. Many of these theories propose a criminal conspiracy involving parties such as the Federal Reserve, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the KGB, the Mafia, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) director J. Edgar Hoover, Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Nixon, Fidel Castro, George H. W. Bush, Cuban exile groups opposed to the Castro government and the military and/or government interests of the United States.
4. Global Warming is a Fraud
The suggestion of a conspiracy to promote the theory of global warming was put forward in a 1990 documentary The Greenhouse Conspiracy broadcast by Channel Four in the United Kingdom on 12 August 1990, as part of the Equinox series, which asserted that scientists critical of global warming theory were denied funding. William Gray, phD (a pioneer in the science of hurricane forecasting) has made a list of 15 reasons for the global warming hysteria. The list includes the need to come up with an enemy after the end of the Cold War, and the desire among scientists, government leaders and environmentalists to find a political cause that would enable them to ‘organize, propagandize, force conformity and exercise political influence. Big world government could best lead (and control) us to a better world!' In this article, Gray also cites the ascendancy of Al Gore to the vice presidency as the start of his problems with federal funding. According to him, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration stopped giving him research grants, and so did NASA.
5. Princess Diana was Murdered by the Royal Family
In 1997, Princess Diana (Princess of Wales) and Dodi Fayed (son of Mohamed Fayed, owner of the Ritz Hotel and Harrods) were killed in a car accident while trying to get away from press photographers in Paris. The scandal surrounding their relationship (Dodi was Muslim whilst Diana was the mother of the future head of the Church of England) has led many people to speculate that they were actually killed in order to prevent further scandal to the throne of England. Polls suggest that around a quarter of the UK public, and a majority of people in some Arab countries, believe that there was a plot to murder Diana, Princess of Wales. Motivations which have been advanced for such a conspiracy include suggestions that Diana intended to marry Dodi Fayed, that she intended to convert to Islam, that she was pregnant, and that she was to visit the holy land. Organizations which conspiracy theorists suggest are responsible for her death have included French Intelligence, the British Royal Family, the press, the British Intelligence services MI5 or MI6, the CIA, Mossad, the Freemasons, or the IRA.6. Jewish World Domination [Wikpedia]
This theory, in recent history, extends mainly from the booklet The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, which are widely considered to be the beginning of contemporary conspiracy theory literature. The Protocols are considered by some to be an anti-Jewish literary forgery that purports to describe a Jewish plot to achieve world domination. Numerous independent investigations have repeatedly proven it to be a plagiarism and a hoax, yet numerous independent investigations have shown it to be a factual document.
The text was popularized by those opposed to Russian revolutionary movement, and was disseminated further after the revolution of 1905, becoming known worldwide after the 1917 October Revolution. It was widely circulated in the West in 1920 and thereafter. The Great Depression and the rise of Nazism were important developments in the history of the Protocols.
7. Apollo Moon Landing Hoax
Apollo Moon Landing hoax accusations are claims that some or all elements of the Apollo Moon landings were faked by NASA and possibly members of other involved organizations. Some groups and individuals have advanced alternate historical narratives which tend, to varying degrees, to state that the Apollo Astronauts did not land on the moon, and that NASA created and continues to perpetuate this hoax.
Moon hoax proponents devote a substantial portion of their efforts to examining NASA photos. They point to various issues with photographs and films purportedly taken on the Moon. Experts in photography (even those unrelated to NASA) respond that the anomalies, while sometimes counterintuitive, are in fact precisely what one would expect from a real Moon landing, and contrary to what would occur with manipulated or studio imagery. Hoax proponents also state that whistleblowers may have deliberately manipulated the NASA photos in hope of exposing NASA.
8. Pearl Harbor Was Allowed to Happen
This theory states that President Roosevelt (FDR) provoked the attack, knew about it in advance and covered up his failure to warn the Hawaiian commanders. FDR needed the attack to sucker Hitler to declare war, since the public and Congress were overwhelmingly against entering the war in Europe. It was his backdoor to war.
Theorists believe that the US was warned by, at least, the governments of Britain, Netherlands, Australia, Peru, Korea and the Soviet Union that a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor was coming. All important Japanese codes were broken. FDR and Marshall and others knew the attack was coming, allowed it and covered up their knowledge.
9. The Third Secret of Fatima
The Three Secrets of Fatima are said to be three prophecies that were given by an apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary to three young Portuguese shepherds, Lucia Santos and her cousins Jacinta and Francisco Marto. From May to October, 1917, the three children claimed to have witnessed this Marian apparition, which is today popularly described as Our Lady of Fatima. On July 13 the Virgin Mary is said to have entrusted the three secrets - in the form of prophecies - to the young visionaries. Two of the secrets were revealed in 1941 in a document written by Lucia to assist with the canonization of her cousins, while the third was to remain secret, although the bishop of Leiria commanded Lucia to put it in writing and to present it to the Pope.
A Catholic priest who has apparently seen the original text of the "third secret" of Fatima disputes the official interpretation of the secret released by the Vatican. Furthermore, he has asked key people in the Vatican about the text and has gotten no response. While the Priest's comments are somewhat radical, they are not without merit, as he has seen the secret with his own eyes. Moreover, while the first 2 secrets are fairly obvious and clear, leading some to wonder why the third one is required to be examined by a team of experts because of its complexity.
10. The Philadelphia Experiment
The Philadelphia Experiment was an alleged naval military experiment at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, sometime around the date of October 28, 1943, in which the U.S. destroyer escort USS Eldridge was to be rendered invisible to human observers for a brief period of time. It is also referred to as Project Rainbow. The story is widely regarded as a hoax. The U.S. Navy has stated that the experiment never occurred, and furthermore, details of the story contradict stated facts about the Eldridge. It has nonetheless caused a significant ripple effect in many conspiracy theory circles, and elements of the Philadelphia Experiment are featured in many other government conspiracy theories.
According to some accounts, the experiment was conducted by a Dr. Franklin Reno (or Rinehart) as a military application of a Unified Field Theory. The theory, briefly, postulates the interrelated nature of the forces that comprise electromagnetic radiation and gravity. Through a special application of the theory, it was thought possible, with specialized equipment and sufficient energy, to bend light around an object in such a way as to render it essentially invisible to observers. The Navy considered this application of the theory to be of obvious military value (especially as the United States was engaged in World War II at the time) and both approved and sponsored the experiment. A navy destroyer escort, the USS Eldridge, was fitted with the required equipment at the naval yards in Philadelphia.
Note: There are so many conspiracy theories that this would be an unwieldy list if I included them all. Stay tuned for a second Conspiracy Theories list in the future.
